Vacancy: Regional Engineer - Roads Authority, Namibia
Namibia Roads Authority (RA) was established in Terms of
Section 2 of the Roads Authority Act (Act 17 of 1999).The RA became fully
operational on 1 April 2000.The RA’s mandate is to manage a safe and efficient
national road network to support economic growth.
The Roads Authority (RA) invites qualified and dynamic
candidates to apply for the following positions within the Engineering Business
Unit:
Position: Regional Engineer
Division: Maintenance Regional Engineer,
Patterson Engineer, Patterson Grade: D5, 2x Positions
Duty Stations: Otjiwarongo and Oshakati
Purpose of the
Job:
- Accountable for managing a region within the Maintenance division by providing regional planning, design and contract management services.
- Key Performance Areas:
- Manage the maintenance division within the region
- Manage the Human Resources Department within the region
- The Management and Responsibility for Regional budgets.
- Manage a safe and efficient National Road Network
- The Management and Responsibility for Regional Maintenance and Contract Administration
Qualifications and
Experience Required:
- BSc Civil Engineering
- Registration as Professional Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council.
- 10 years experience of which 5 years minimum within a managerial capacity.
- B Code Driving License.
