The National Youth Service is a youth development service institution,
established by the NYS Act No.6 of 2005 with the mission of delivering relevant
national services and offering recognized skills training and personal
development programmes to the youth.
The NYS is looking for a dynamic and self-driven individuals
to fill the positions in the Agriculture and Aquaculture Department:
1 x Secretary (C1)
Duty Station: NYS Head Office, Windhoek
Purpose of the
Job:
To assist the Executive by performing secretarial and
clerical duties in order to ensure sufficient support and smooth running of
departmental activities.
Main
Responsibilities:
- Reception and office accommodation
- Secretarial duties
- Administrative duties
Skills and
Knowledge Requirements:
Good communication skills – verbal & written, ability to
deal with confidential information, good planning and organizational skills,
integrity, good coordination skills, emotional maturity, ability to set own
work performance standards, time management and initiative.
Job Requirements:
Grade 12 plus National Diploma in Office Administration or
equivalent with 3 years experience, performing secretarial work on a managerial
level. Typing speed of 60 words per minute.
