Engineering Trainer - B2Gold Namibia

The engineering trainer’s responsibility is to plan, implement and maintain engineering training programs. The programs shall be supported by and based on competency profiles and training matrices developed and documented to ensure good engineering maintenance practices and adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Location:
This position will be based at the Otjikoto Mine Gold Mine situated between Otjiwarongo and Otavi.The position will report directly to the General Mine Services Maintenance Superintendent.

Competencies and Requirements:
·         Recognized Earthmoving Diesel Mechanic or Fitter and Turner Trade Diploma with 4 technical theoretical subjects N3 Level or with Grade 12 and 4 Technical theoretical subjects.
·         Valid code 08 BE Drivers License
·         ETDP NQF Level 5 training qualification will be an advantage
·         5 years experience as an Engineering Training Officer
·         Certificated in Train-the-Trainer at NQF Level 4 will be an advantage
·         Working with variety of trades on Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) as well as Processing Plant environments
·         Skilled in computer software applications such as Word processors, Presentation software, spreadsheets and database [MS WORD,EXCEL,ACCESS and PowerPoint]
·         Demonstrate effective loading skills
·         Must be able to work independently, but also in team environment
·         Have strong verbal and written communication skills
·         Attention to detail
·         Physically fit and mobile
