Main Function of the Role:

To provide efficient accounting and bookkeeping skills to the Hollard Life Namibia finance team.

Scope of Work:

As a Financial Accountant the successful incumbent will be part of a fast-paced working environment, providing efficient bookkeeping skills in our finance team.

The role reports to the Financial Manager. The successful incumbent will be required to demonstrate the ability to work independently as this role will be a support function to the Financial Manager.

Key Performance Areas of the Role:

Ensure financial information of the role:

  • Ensure financial information is received timeously.
  • Oversee the daily and monthly accounting functions
  • Recording and reconciling of financial information.
  • Reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
  • Assist with management accounts and regulatory returns.
  • Assume responsibility for your own technical development.

Minimum Requirements and Experience:

  • Matric 25 points or more.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a financial environment
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft applications.
  • Experience working with an Accounting Package.
