Artisan: General Repairs and Maintenance x 1

Location: Mariental - !Aimab Superfarm

Purpose of the Position:

To perform general maintenance and repair work on the farm including electrical, building, welding and plumbing works and maintain the water and slurry systems to ensure the smooth operations of the farm.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical certificate N3 or N4 in Millwright.
  • Trade certificate.
  • 2-3 years experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Driver’s license.
Key Accountability:

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance work on the farm including but not limited to electrical, building, welding and plumbing works.
  • Do weekly and monthly maintenance and repairs planning.
  • Assign work to the Assistant: General Maintenance.
  • Complete work as per job card timeously and sign off on job cards after inspection.
  • Maintain the slurry and drainage systems and pumps.
  • Maintain water plant to ensure water availability at all times.
  • Be on standby after normal working hours, over weekends and on public holidays.
