Reports to: Manager VET
Curriculum Implementation
Purpose:
•
Planning, overseeing
and monitoring the implementation of the VET Curriculum within TPs/VTCs
•
Introduce Progress
Monitoring Plans for quality output
•
Rendering
advisory/auxiliary services to the registered VET Providers
•
Ensure development
of VET Trainers/Instructors in liaison with relevant HR-CPD units
•
To coordinate the
functions of VET curriculum implementation for quality delivery
•
Ensure the
effective implementation of the VET Curriculum by the registered Training
Providers.
Key Performance Areas:
•
Supervise the VET
Curriculum implementation Division
•
Provide leadership
to the VET Curriculum implementation Officers
•
Monitor adherence
to plans, budgets and procedures
•
Provide guidance in
the identification, development and delivery of innovative, high quality and
industry led curriculum for VET
•
Set up quality
delivery monitoring systems that support structural planning of the processes
of VET curriculum implementation
•
Construct and
support a professional learning and implementation framework which enhances the
organisational capacity of VET curriculum functions
•
Maximise the
efficiency and effectiveness of delivery programs which leads the operations of
the curriculum
•
Create
opportunities for continuous improvement of the curriculum implementation
processes that underpin high delivery of VET training
•
Prepare monthly,
quarterly/annual progress reports by reviewing and consolidating progress
reports for onward submission to the line manager.
•
Provide guidance
and quality assurance.
•
Conduct regular
stakeholder meetings
•
Work in a team to
provide input to the divisional financial budget.
•
Work in a team to
provide input to the divisional work plan
•
Prepare special
tasks as required by the line manager
•
Attend to clients
and stakeholders queries on daily basis.
Qualifications and Experience:
•
B. Degree in
Education/or B. Tech in Mech/Civil/Elect. or equivalent qualification
•
Practical
background in VET & competency based education
•
Knowledge of
competency based training and curriculum development
•
Valid Driver’s
License
Other
Competencies:
•
Knowledge of VET
and CBET sector and understanding of NQF
•
Strong conceptual
understanding of VET curriculum development
•
Proven ability to
undertake research and assessment of education and VET training
•
Proven practical
experience in teaching and training facilitation
•
Computer literacy
in MS Office applications
•
Sound understanding
of the CBET curriculum and training
•
Accountability and
integrity in work ethics
•
Strong
interpersonal relations
•
Analytical thinking
skills
•
Systems and process
thinking skills
•
Valid Driver’s
License
