Job Title: Assistant Lodge Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • A single individual who is capable of working under pressure with the ability to identify and focus on priorities.
  • High performance team players with passion, energy and exemplary track record.
  • Leadership skills including skills transfer, motivating, mentoring and capacity building.
  • A proven track record of successful Safari and Lodge experience preferably in a senior supervisory role will be an advantage.
  • Willing to work in a high demand service environment in order to deliver short-notice requests from guests, staff and management. This challenging role demands being on call around the clock, seven days a week, regardless of weekends and Public holidays.
  • Professional, resourceful, responsible, smart and independent – with a natural instinct to be a wonderful social host.
  • Valid Code 08 Public Drivers License is a MUST.
  • A keen understanding of the ethos of bush life, with plainly apparent respect and compassion for conservation.
  • Tertiary education in a business environment will be an advantage.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in the Tourism industry will be an advantage. Business level fluency in English, fluency in local indigenous languages will be an advantage.
  • Financial and administrative skills and experience will be an advantage.
