Electrician Langer Heinrich Uranium Pty Ltd, Swakopmund, Namibia

Post: Electrician,

Location:  Swakopmund

Purpose:
With a firm background of maintenance in the mining industry, reporting to the Maintenance Electrical Team Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for the effective and efficient electrical maintenance of all equipment through active membership in a competent team to ensure high availabilities and minimal downtime so that production targets are reached.
Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain various equipment according to a preventive maintenance strategy
  • Application of corrective action
  • Troubleshooting and faultfinding on various electrical equipment and variable speed drives
  • Comply with relevant RISK policies, practices and procedures
  • Assist with downtime analysis to ensure continuous improvement

Requirements:
Recognized Trade Diploma in Electrical Field – N3 and Higher Certificate.
·         Minimum 3 years post-trade experience preferably in the mining industry
·         Previous experience in mineral process plant maintenance would be an advantage
·         Fully computer literate
·         Working knowledge of variable speed drives
·         Working knowledge of PLC,Profibus and Asi-Bus technology
·         High voltage authorization and switching experience
·         Excellent interpersonal skills
·         Valid Code 08 Drivers License
·         Possess a well equipped tool box
