Introduction
The incumbent will provide supervisory and technical
services for overall operation, quality assurance, methodology and its
processes in the clinical laboratory. Responsible for coordinating and
scheduling personnel and workload, for ensuring compliance with all safety and
other related regulations and for accuracy of all data obtained and reported.

Specification
•Computer literate (MS applications, Laboratory Information
System, etc).
•Proficient in written and spoken English, good
communication skills, management and supervisory skills, interpersonal skills,
project management skills, deductive reasoning abilities, conflict resolution
and problem solving skills, leadership abilities, coordination and time
management skills, analytical skills, good judgement and decision making
ability.
•Personality traits: Assertive, emotionally mature, able to
work under pressure, flexible, meticulous.
Requirements
•Accredited B. Sc. or equivalent qualification in Medical
Technology, with additional specialization in microbiology.
•Experience in quality management systems will be an
advantage.
•Registration with the Health Professionals Council of
Namibia.
•5 years (of which 1 year at supervisory level) relevant
postgraduate, licensed experience in a clinical laboratory environment since
first registration as MLT, more specifically in microbiology.
